Supreme Court on Aravallis: Illegal mining can cause irreversible damage, expert panel planned

The Supreme Court will form an expert committee to examine mining and related issues in the Aravalli Hills. This committee will conduct a comprehensive study of the region. The court has also extended its earlier order regarding the definition of the Aravalli ranges. Illegal mining is a serious concern with irreversible environmental consequences.
