Sugar industry has survived due to use of ethanol: Nitin Gadkari

Union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Sunday that Indias sugar industry has sustained itself due to ethanol production and stressed the need for new farming technologies. At a Pune event, he linked farmer suicides in Vidarbha and Marathwada to water scarcity, praised Naam Foundations water conservation work, and defended ethanol policy amid political criticism over E20 fuel rollout.
