Sub-Rs 1k crore shortcut on Bharatmala Map

The ministry of road transport and highways will directly award halted projects under Bharatmala Pariyojana. Projects under `1,000 crore will be awarded in the coming months. The government aims to fast-track road contracts. 34,800 km of highways were planned in 2017, but only 27,391 km has been awarded under phase I, with a total cost of `8,75,774 crore.
