State sues SoCal real estate tycoon alleging widespread tenant exploitation
Following a three-year investigation, California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit Tuesday against SoCal landlord Mike Nijjar accusing him of habitually violating habitability, tenant protection and other laws throughout the 22,000 rental housing units he owns.
