Startups add 1.66 mn jobs from 2016 to October 2024

Recognised startups have created over 16.6 lakh direct jobs from 2016 to October 2024, with the IT services, healthcare & lifesciences, and professional & commercial services industries leading in job creation. Indias startup ecosystem, with over 100 unicorns, is the third-largest in the world. By 2024, ₹11,148 crore was committed, catalyzing investments in numerous startups.
