SS United States Arrives In Mobile Bay, Will Become World's Largest Artificial Reef

The SS United States is on her way to a new life — quite literally. The 990-foot ocean liner arrived Monday in Mobile Bay, where work will be done before she is sunk off the coast of Okaloosa County, Florida, to become the world's largest artificial reef. Not only will the ship be home to various sea creatures, but she could bring in millions of dollars of revenue by attracting tourists, especially divers.
