Sports Minister discusses draft sports bill with stakeholders; emphasis on governance reforms

Sports Minister Manusukh Mandaviya chaired a meeting on the Draft National Sports Governance Bill 2024. Present were IOA President P T Usha, NSFs, and NSPOs. The bill aims to promote transparency and athlete welfare among other reforms. Stakeholders appreciated the proposal to relax age and tenure caps for administrators. Suggestions from the meeting will refine the draft bill.
