Special NIA court frames UAPA charges against Assam MLA Gogoi, others

A Special NIA court has charged Assam Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi and three others for their alleged involvement in violent protests against the CAA in December 2019. The charges include conspiracy and hate speech. Gogoi, who was jailed but later released, denies any violent or terrorist involvement, claiming the charges are politically motivated.
