Sonia Gandhi alleges government’s maternity benefits underfunded, not being disbursed efficiently

Sonia Gandhi highlighted in Rajya Sabha that the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is underfunded and benefits are not reaching entitled pregnant women. She called for increased funds and efficient disbursement, pointing out that the scheme allocates only Rs. 5,000 instead of the Rs. 6,000 mandated by the National Food Security Act.
