Sikkim govt starts charging Rs 50 as entry fees for tourists
From October 2025, the Sikkim government has implemented a Rs 50 entry fee for tourists. The fee, collected during hotel check-ins, supports the Tourism Sustainability Development Fund aimed at enhancing infrastructure and services. Children under five are exempt, and the fee is reapplied after 30 days of stay.
