Seven dogs trek 10 miles in freezing temperatures to find way home in scene straight out of Homeward Bound

A group of seven dogs who went missing in China embarked on a 10-mile journey home in freezing conditions. Video of the pack travelling down a busy highway in Changchun, Jilin province, where overnight temperatures can drop below 1C, has gone viral. The group, which included Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds and Corgis, were reportedly stolen from several homes in the same village. The man who filmed the footage on 15 March told mainland Chinese outlet Dahe Daily: “They resemble a band of little brothers in distress, moving in unison - nothing like stray dogs.” A volunteer from a local rescue group that had been dispatched to find the animals claimed that they had been kidnapped for dog meat, the South China Morning post reports.
