SEBI proposes to add algo trade to stock broker regulations

SEBI proposed to include algorithmic and proprietary trading in its master regulations. The regulator floated a consultation paper to revamp regulations of stock brokers, aiming to ease compliance burden and align with technological advancements. A working group has been constituted to simplify compliance while ensuring investor protection.
