Search committee set up to shortlist names for next CEC: Sources
A search committee led by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has been set up to shortlist candidates for the next chief election commissioner. The committee will consider five secretary-level officers, following the new 2023 appointment law. Current CEC Rajiv Kumar retires on February 18, 2024.
