SC seeks Gyanvapi Masjid Committee's response on plea for ASI survey of sealed area

The Supreme Court is requesting a response from the Gyanvapi Masjid Committee regarding a plea by Hindu worshippers. The worshippers are seeking an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey of a sealed area within the mosque where a "Shivling" was allegedly discovered. The court will hear the matter, along with other related petitions, on December 17.
