SC seeks details of FIRs, charge sheets against men for divorcing wives through triple talaq

The Supreme Court has directed the Centre to provide details of FIRs and chargesheets filed under the 2019 Muslim Women (Protection of Rights in Marriage) Act, which criminalizes instant triple talaq. The court is examining the constitutionality of the law through multiple petitions. A final hearing is set for the week starting March 17.
