SC rejects Venugopal Dhoot's appeal to halt foreign asset dealings in Videocon insolvency case

The Supreme Court has rejected Venugopal Dhoot's appeal to restrain lenders from dealing with foreign oil and gas assets in Videocon Oil Ventures Ltd's insolvency proceedings. The court did not direct NCLAT to expedite the issue but allowed it to be taken up on joint request. Dhoot argued that delaying interim orders could render his appeal ineffective.
