SC deliberates on making colour-coded stickers for vehicles mandatory across India

The Supreme Court is deliberating on making hologram-based colour-coded stickers for vehicles mandatory nationwide and focusing on the effective implementation of PUC certificate norms. The bench plans to issue directions to amend the 2018 Motor Vehicles Order and may extend their reach beyond NCR. The matter, crucial for tackling air pollution, is set for further hearing on January 27.
