SC asks why names suggested for judgeship are pending with Centre

The Supreme Court has asked the Attorney General to provide a detailed chart of judicial candidates whose appointments have been reiterated by the collegium but not yet cleared by the Centre. The court also seeks reasons for these delays. This comes amid a PIL demanding timely clearance of collegium resolutions and a contempt petition from Jharkhand.
