S Jaishankar reveals why India didn’t sign the SCO document in China: 'If there's no mention of terrorism, then…'

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was formed to fight terrorism, but during the Defence Ministers' meeting, one member opposed including a reference to terrorism in the final statement. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, he said, refused to sign the document, stating, “If there’s no mention of terrorism in the statement, we will not sign it.”
