Russian advance in Ukraine slows again in February

Russian forces advanced less on Ukrainian territory in February compared to previous months, according to an AFP analysis of data from the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Moscow gained 389 square kilometers (150 square miles) in February, following advances of 431 square kilometers in January, 476 square kilometers in December 2024, and a peak of 725 square kilometers in November, the data revealed.
