Rescuers carry stranded trekkers off Mt Everest after storm traps hundreds. Unusually heavy snow and rainfall in the Himalayas left hundreds of hikers stuck on the side of the mountain, with rescuers mobilising rescue operations. Over 300 have reached the village of Quango, while officials say contact has been made with the remaining 200-plus people on the mountain.
