Punjab Cabinet approves new excise policy for FY26
The Punjab Cabinet has approved a new excise policy for 2025-26, targeting revenue of Rs 11,020 crore. The policy introduces e-tendering for liquor vends, increases the quota for country-made liquor, and raises the cow welfare cess. New excise police stations and a bottling plant will also be established.
