Proposal sent to UNESCO to include Diwali as Intangible Cultural Heritage: Centre
India has submitted a proposal to UNESCO to include the Diwali festival in the 2023 list of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced that UNESCO is expected to examine the proposal this year. No proposal for Pandharichi Vari of Maharashtra has been received yet.
