Prime Minister Narendra Modi met German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to strengthen bilateral strategic ties. Key areas of discussion included defence, trade, and clean energy. The leaders co-chaired the Intergovernmental Consultations, a framework for inter-ministerial discussions. Scholz's three-day visit follows the last IGC held in Berlin in May 2022.
