Police smash down door in dawn raid on £300,000 London phone snatching gang

Watch as police smash down a door whilst conducting a dawn raid on a phone snatching gang suspected of stealing more than £300,000 from victims in the London area. Footage shows City of London police officers entering a property in the capital in the early hours of Thursday (26 February) morning, after securing arrest warrants. Officers arrested four men on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to commit fraud between September 2024 and December 2025. All remain in custody, the force said on Thursday afternoon. The men allegedly targeted drunk or unsuspecting members of the public by convincing them to unlock their phones, before stealing the devices and purchasing expensive items on them. They also allegedly stole thousands in cryptocurrency.
