Parliament panel on Waqf amendment bill submits report to LS speaker

The joint parliamentary committee submitted its report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The panel, chaired by Jagdambika Pal, adopted the report with a 15-11 majority, incorporating changes suggested by BJP members. While BJP supports the Bill for introducing modernity and transparency, the opposition views it as infringing on Muslim community rights.
