Over 28 lakh households get Rs 16,000 Cr aid under PM Surya Ghar scheme

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana has benefited over 28 lakh households by January 2026. Central financial assistance of Rs 16,061.12 crore has been disbursed. The scheme aims to install rooftop solar systems in one crore households. This initiative is expected to generate significant renewable electricity and reduce carbon emissions.
