Orders placed for 3 boring machines to construct 21 km under sea tunnel for bullet train: Govt

Three tunnel boring machines have been ordered for the 21-km undersea tunnel section of the Bullet Train project in Maharashtra. Land acquisition is complete, and construction of bridges, aqueducts, and shafts for the TBMs is underway. Over ₹1,64,000 crore has been allocated for infrastructure projects in the state, including the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, with 76 km already commissioned.
