Optimistic about higher agri growth in FY25 on good monsoon: Principal secy to PM

India's agriculture sector is expected to grow stronger in the 2024-25 fiscal year, driven by favourable monsoon conditions. The sector had seen a reduction in growth rate to 1.4 per cent in FY24. It could see a 3.5-4 per cent growth this fiscal year. Challenges remain in achieving self-sufficiency in pulses and oilseeds production.
