The BJP criticized Congress and other opposition parties for Maharashtra SP president Abu Azmi's remarks about Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, accusing them of disparaging India's traditions and culture to gain minority votes. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi condemned the alleged glorification of Aurangzeb as an insult to Indian society.
