No special treatment to US on agri tariffs: Govt

Indian government has clarified that the trade agreement with the US does not offer any special treatment on agricultural tariffs, with duty liberalisation aligned with existing FTAs, phased reductions, tariff rate quotas for sensitive items, and full protection for highly sensitive farm sectors including dairy, poultry, cereals and GM foods.
