Nissan's 6 million-square-foot factory in Rutherford County brought automaking to Tennessee 41 years ago — and later brought production of a mass-market, all-electric vehicle to the U.S. Nissan is looking elsewhere for its next all-electric model, but don't take that to mean it's leaving Smyrna in the dust. Far from it, a top executive vowed.
