NIA arrests 3 for allegedly leaking sensitive defence secrets to Pakistani operative for just Rs 5,000 a month

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested three men for allegedly leaking sensitive information about Indian naval bases to Pakistan-based intelligence operatives. Two individuals were taken into custody in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district, while another was arrested in Kochi, Kerala. Investigators suspect they were honey-trapped via social media and received financial payments in exchange for classified details. The case, initially registered in 2021, has so far led to eight arrests, with further investigations underway to uncover the full extent of the espionage network.
