NHAI prepays Rs 56,000 cr to its lenders in FY25 to save Rs 1,200 cr interest

National Highways Authority of India paid off loans worth Rs 56,000 crore this fiscal. This helps save around Rs 1,200 crore in interest costs. NHAIs debt dropped from Rs 3.35 lakh crore to Rs 2.76 lakh crore. A significant portion of the prepayment comes from InvIT monetisation and loans charged by high-interest lenders.
