Newmarket man has been charged after allegedly threatening the Muslim community in York Region
York Regional Police arrested a 54-year-old Newmarket man for reportedly uttering threats toward the local Muslim community in Newmarket. The incident, reported on Sept. 1, is being investigated as a hate-motivated crime.
