Newly appointed NCW chief Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar takes charge

Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar has begun her tenure as the 9th Chairperson of the National Commission for Women. She succeeded Rekha Sharma, whose tenure ended in August. Rahatkar previously served as the Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women and has authored several books. She has been recognized for her contributions to women's empowerment.
