Newer mpox strain poses bigger threat to girls, young women and is spreading fast. Check symptoms

A new study has revealed that girls and young women may be more susceptible to an infectious subvariant of the virus that causes mpox. The subvariant, clade Ib, spreads faster than the earlier variant and can spread through close physical contact. This newer mpox strain is likely to affect women and young girls as young as six.
