New York (US), October 30 (ANI): The tallest building in the USA, One World Trade Center lit up in lights of radiant colours ahead of Diwali. In a historic move, New York City schools will close on Friday, November 1, to commemorate the festival of Diwali. Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan of the Mayor's Office for International Affairs announced this significant development, highlighting the importance of recognizing the city's diverse cultural heritage. Deputy Commissioner, Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, New York City, Dilip Chauhan said, "This year Diwali is special. For the first time in the history of New York City, schools will be closed on Friday, November 1 for the festival of Diwali."
