New Caledonia: A lesson in responsibility

The pro- and anti-independence groups who have taken the risk of supporting the creation of a 'State of New Caledonia' now face the challenge of convincing their respective bases, but they stand to gain much. The citizens of New Caledonia will play a crucial role in determining the future of the archipelago.
