Nearly half of Himachal Pradesh prone to landslide, floods, avalanches

Over 45% of Himachal Pradesh is highly prone to floods, landslides, and avalanches according to IIT Ropar. The study used geospatial data to identify vulnerable regions. The findings were presented at the 2nd Indian Cryosphere Meet. Similar studies are being conducted in Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and the northeast states.
