National parties bag over 63 pc of vote share in 2024 Lok Sabha polls

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, six national parties including BJP, Congress, BSP, CPI(M), AAP, and NPP received over 63 per cent of the total valid votes. 3,921 independent candidates contested, with only seven getting elected. The NOTA option received 0.99 per cent of the votes, a slight decrease from 2019. Registered electors increased to over 97.97 crore.
