Nathula, Chola, Doklam gears up for India-China trade resumption, Sikkim eyes global tourism boost

At Nathu La, Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur and CM Prem Singh Tamang paid homage to the 1967 war heroes at Sherathang War Memorial. On the sidelines, the CM confirmed that the Government of India has decided to resume trade with China through Nathu La soon. He added that work is underway to develop parking facilities at the pass, signaling preparations for the long-anticipated revival of border trade. He expressed hope that the development will boost tourism in Sikkim.
