Nano urea demand pegged at 2.36 crore bottle for rabi season; six plants operational

India projects a need for 2.36 crore bottles of nano urea for the 2024-25 rabi season. Uttar Pradesh has the highest demand, followed by Maharashtra and Punjab. Six plants nationwide, including three newly commissioned in 2024, can produce 27.22 crore bottles annually. Several states, including Gujarat, reported no nano urea requirement.
