MQ9B lost due to tech failure in Bay of Bengal; $4 bn US deal in final stages

A high-value surveillance drone leased by the Indian Navy from the US experienced a technical failure and had to perform a controlled ditching off Chennai. The MQ9B drone, operated by General Atomics, was on a routine mission. Efforts are underway to recover it, and India is in the final stages of acquiring 31 more drones for $4 billion.
