MoSPI releases discussion paper on treatment of PDS items in CPI

The ministry of statistics and programme implementation invites views on including free PDS items in retail inflation calculation as the CPI base year changes to 2024. The consultation addresses issues arising from the National Food Security Act's new scheme and its impact on current price indexes. Inputs are requested by January 15.
