Monsoon to advance in some parts of Bengal next week, heavy rain likely

The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in West Bengal next week due to the likely advancement of the southwest monsoon and strong moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal. Coastal districts like South 24 Parganas and Purba Medinipur are expected to receive very heavy rainfall on June 17, with Kolkata likely to experience heavy rain on June 17 and 18.
