MLB Nationals fire manager Martinez, GM Rizzo after loss

The Washington Nationals announced Sunday they have fired manager Dave Martinez and general manager Mike Rizzo after suffering their fourth Major League Baseball loss in five games.Shortly after the Nats dropped a 6-4 decision at home to Boston, team owner Mark D. Lerner announced Rizzo, the president of baseball operations, would be replaced by assistant general manager Mike DeBartolo and that an interim manager would be named on Monday, an off day for the club.
