Minnesotans could see higher gas prices over summer
The reasons are complicated, but because Congress did not pass a law allowing year-round E15 ethanol blends, only six states, including Minnesota, plus part of South Dakota, opted for the change. The state's largest refinery, Flint Hills Resources in Rosemount, says that could mean gas prices will be 5 to 30 cents higher than they would be otherwise.
