MGNREGS: 220.11 crore person days of employment generated so far in 2024-25

The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) generated 220.11 crore person days of employment until January 10 in 2024-25, down from 389.1 crore in the pandemic year of 2020-21. The scheme has been enhanced with multiple efficiency reforms and converged with various initiatives to promote sustainable rural development.
