Meet Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine's former army chief who could challenge Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the presidential election

General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, has emerged as a key competitor to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in recent times. As per an internal poll, Zaluzhnyi holds the potential to defeat Zelenskyy by 30 per cent to 65 per cent if presidential elections are held in Ukraine anytime soon.
